Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between UFO Products and Pro-Line Products?

A: UFO products are designed and constructed for consumer use only. UFO Products provide consumers with a quality inflatable product that will provide hours of use if cared for properly.

UFO Components:
  • Polymeric M4 PVC (non-reinforced PVC)
  • Air-Lock Valve System
  • Fin Seam Construction
  • Ergonomic molded handles
Pro-Line Products are designed and constructed for commercial and consumer use. Pro-Line Products are normally used in resort or camp environments where heavy use of the products over a long period of time is most common.

Pro-Line Components
  • 28 Ounce dtex PVC (reinforced PVC)
  • Commercial Grade Halkey-Roberts Valve
  • Commercial grade Air-Lock Speed Valve
  • Heat welded seams
  • Radio Frequency welded handle and anchor attachments
  • TUV Approval (European Quality and Safety Standard)

Q: Why is their such a big price difference between floating trampolines?

A: Many smaller floating trampolines are made from non-reinforced PVC. While inexpensive, this material is also weak. The vinyl in non-reinforced PVC has a tendency to over expand, causing seams to rupture, which often is impossible to repair. It is well worth the money to invest in an AVIVA floating trampoline made from reinforced PVC. You will appreciate the performance and use the product for many seasons versus a lower performing product that will likely leak after a single season.

Q: What does the term "Gauge" mean?

A: Gauge refers to the thickness of the material in inches. For example...
40 gauge = .040 inches thick
125 gauge = .125 inches thick or 1/8 of an inch
In most cases, the stronger and more durable products have a high gauge number.

Q: What does the term Polymeric M4 PVC mean?

A: Polymeric is a marketing term used by AVIVA to describe a high quality PVC material.

Q: What does the term denier mean?

A: Denier refers to the density of the mesh in the product material. The higher the denier number the stronger the material.

Q: What does the term ounce mean?

A: Ounce refers to the weight of the material per square yard. The higher the ounce number the heavier and thicker the material. For example, 32 ounce means that the material weighs 2 pounds per square yard.

Q: What is the difference between reinforced PVC and non-reinforced PVC?

A: Reinforced PVC describes a polyester mesh in between two layers of PVC. Non-reinforced PVC does not have this mesh. The benefits of reinforced PVC are that the material has almost no stretch, is more abrasion resistant, and won't puncture as easy. Reinforced material also provides increased durability and long life, while also being much easier to repair. The added mesh tends to make reinforced PVC produced more costly, but the increase in quality is often worth the added price.

Q: How do you inflate AVIVA products?

A: We recommend you use one of our inflaters to inflate the UFO products. However, you can also use a leaf blower, shop vac, wet vac, or vacuum with a 2-way switch on our larger UFO products and Pro-Line products.
